S.A.F.E. Structure Designs has announced the delivery of custom General Dynamics F-16 fall protection maintenance platforms to the United States Air Force at HOLLOMAN AFB in New Mexico. The SAFETY FIRST ergonomic platforms allow technicians SAFE access to all areas of the aircraft while performing full overhauls. The set of platforms were designed through a collaboration between SAFE Structure Design and the United States Air Force making the set of stands highly ergonomic. They are equipped with the latest features including a seamless fit to the aircraft with zero gaps, enhanced safety handrails, and precise working deck heights to increase comfort and efficiency.
These versatile platforms are lightweight and easy to move around by one technician. Without impedances to critical areas on the aircraft, these platforms allow for maintenance access to all required areas when performing depot level overhauls or routine maintenance on the aircraft. The F-16 stands provide a large work platform for added safety.

“We are excited to supply our custom fall protection maintenance platforms to the United States Air Force in support of their F-16 program,” said Johnny Buscema, S.A.F.E. CEO. "We started this project prior to the pandemic shutdowns which were then followed by extreme inflation on materials, all while we were under a firm fixed contract with the Air Force. Obviously, these events caused us to face huge challenges. We could have easily modified the custom designs which would have cheapened the product to be inferior, however, without cutting corners and only by the grace of God were we able to bring this project to a successful completion. God provided for us in our finances through these rough times as well as positioning us alongside an extremely patient customer that supported us. In the end, we exceeded the customers expectations by over delivering on our commitment. Thus, together we win!"
