VTOL Floating Landing Pad
A custom floating landing pad built to launch and recover VTOL aircraft alongside surface vessels underway.
SAFE Structure Designs manufactures the VTOL Floating Landing Pad, a modular floating platform engineered to give helicopters and other vertical take-off and landing aircraft a stable surface to land, load, and launch from away from a host ship's own deck.
Built on the same reinforced floating platform architecture as SAFE's naval berthing systems, the pad is rated to take the rotor wash, point loads, and repeated landing cycles of shipboard aircraft operations, and can be positioned and repositioned around a vessel or task force as the mission requires.
As with all SAFE equipment, this platform is designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house to fit the exact requirements of the customer's fleet, aircraft, and mission.
