Las Vegas-based S.A.F.E. Structure Designs (SAFE) is supporting Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation, a local nonprofit that helps Las Vegas families through childhood cancer. As a major donor, SAFE recently partnered with the foundation to send three children with leukemia, together with their mothers, to Rome, Italy, where the families met the Pope and received a private tour of the Vatican.
Announced on October 15, 2026, the trip gave the families time together away from the demands of cancer treatment, built around faith, connection, and memories they can share. For President and CEO Johnny Buscema, it is one way SAFE serves the community it calls home, and Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation is one of the causes featured on SAFE’s sponsorships page.

“We give God the glory for allowing us to be part of this. These children and their mothers carry burdens that many of us can only begin to understand. We wanted to help create time for them to be together, experience something special, and know that people care about them.”
Supporting Las Vegas Families Facing Childhood Cancer
Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation is a Las Vegas 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing family-centered support to children with cancer throughout the Las Vegas Valley. It eases the practical and emotional weight of pediatric cancer with help such as transportation, meals, home support, essential supplies, and meaningful family experiences, so parents can stay focused on their children and their treatment.
SAFE’s financial support helps fund that work. The Rome trip reflects the foundation’s commitment to creating lasting memories for the children and families it serves, especially during the hardest chapters of treatment.
Faith Put Into Action
SAFE is guided by faith in Jesus Christ, which Buscema describes as a call to love others and put that love into action. He has been clear that the children and their families are the heart of this story, and that SAFE’s hope in sharing it is simply that more people will learn about the foundation and find a way to support it.
If the families’ journey encourages another person or business to get involved, the foundation can reach even more Las Vegas families who need help.
How to Support Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation
SAFE encourages Las Vegas businesses, families, and individuals to learn about Zo’s Bravehearts Foundation and the needs of local families navigating childhood cancer. Donations and community partnerships make it possible for the foundation to provide practical help and emotional support where it is needed most.
